Hotaru is a passionate, hot-blooded swordsmith with a muscular build who is socially inept and extremely dedicated to creating swords, but becomes easily enraged towards swordsmen who break his creations, especially Tanjiro Kamado, and is only calmed by eating mitarashi dango and being subdued by tickling or pinning him down.
